Google is the most popular search engine that was a brainchild of Sergey Brin and Larry Page. Serving as a research project in 1996 at Stanford University to search for details on the Internet. Larry and Sergey later decided what name they wanted to display on their search engine and quickly made the choice on Google, which is inspired by the term “googol”.
Below is what describes how Google overcame every obstacle and became successful:
1. Story of The Search Engine Backrub
Through multiple client agreements, they disagreed about almost everything, but they founded a partnership by the following year. Working out of their dorm rooms, they manage to build a search engine that uses similar linkages to evaluate the relevance of the World Wide Web pages. They called Backrub, the search engine.
2. The End of The Beginning
Google attracted the attention of the academic community as well as Silicon Valley investors over the next few years. Sun co-founder (Andy Bechtolsheim) wrote a check of $100,000 to Larry and Sergey in August 1998, and officially Google Inc was founded. With this expenditure, the formation of a new team made the transition from the dorms to their first office (a suburban garage owned by Susan Wojcicki in Menlo Park, California).
3. The Overall Journey of Google
The constant journey for better answers remains at the core of all we have to do. Google serves hundreds of products, from YouTube and Gmail and, most importantly, Google Search, used by billions of people around the world. It shifted and outgrown thoroughly from the dorm room to the garage and to this very day.
