Web Design is what structures your website to look interesting. But most importantly, what determines the quality of web design is not just on the visual, it’s the usability and utility.

The main character for a web design to please is the user. Not to mention, Web Designers hold a very important role to maintain the quality and consistency of the design throughout the whole designing process.

There are 5 ways on how Web Design can impact customer experience:

1. Appearance

First of all, web design is really important for a users’ first impression. For this reason, they might decide to leave the page after finding the homepage of a website to be not fully functional or well designed.  To sum it up, this is what you need on a functional website: 

  • Responsive Designs 
  • Parallax Scrolling
  • Appealing Fonts
  • Attractive Images and Graphics
  • Multimedia

2. Load Time

Second of all, inserting lots of visuals will impact the load time of a website, which could be very frustrating for users. So, only add multimedia elements that are necessary and make the website with a mindset of simplistic or minimalistic. Following, this will decrease the load time and provide users a much more convenient and usable website.

3. Clarity

Important to say, what does clarity mean to a website? It meant that the navigation bars or any other interactive materials or elements are clear and direct. For example, the drop-down list on a navigation bar, it lists down a clear list of pages when the user hovers over it, this should show what content and pages the website has.

4. Professionalism 

Next, showing the culture of the business explains how the organization runs. Consequently, it’s the basic information that talks about what your company does except work. Next, show photos of staff and achievement of the company, it improves the professionalism of the website with a few images.

5. Conversions

Last question, what triggers conversions from the customers? The answer to this is attractiveness of products and services, the simplicity of the web design that eases customer effort, and professionalism that gives customer confidence on the product.
